Judedavid Ogochukwu Mbamalu Esq is the managing partner of Jumbo Chambers.
He graduated from University of Nigeria in 1986 with an LLB (Hons).
Thereafter he proceeded to the Nigerian Law School where he obtained
his barrister-at-law (BL) with honours in 1987.
He was called to the Nigerian bar as a barrister and solicitor of the supreme court of Nigeria on 22nd October 1987.
He has since then being in active legal practice in Nigeria, in the course of which he has honed his skills in advocacy,
brief writing and corporate practice.
In 1999 he obtained from the Lagos State University, post graduate diploma, with distinction in Maritime Law.
He thereafter obtained in the same institution, master of laws (LLM) in Maritime and Commercial Law.
In 2005, he obtained with merit, master of laws (LLM) in Computer and Communications Law, from Queen Mary University of London.
Apart from heading the litigation section of the firm, he is prodigiously vast in arbitration,
IP Law, Computer Crime, Internet Jurisdiction, Telecommunication Law, e-Commerce Issues,
Oil and Gas Law, Maritime Law, Legal Drafting and Commercial Law.
These vast knowledge inevitably impacts heavily on the areas of core competences of the law firm.
Mr. Mbamalu is a prolific writer, whose works have been published in various journals.
He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Chartered Institute of Arbitration (UK)
and the Cybercrime Law Society (Nigeria), where he serves as the executive secretary.
